Teaching Orienteering courses 7 June and 4 October

SLOW development officer Christine Robinson is running two courses ideally suited to teachers, youth leaders and outdoor educators looking to introduce young people to orienteering. Christine is licensed to run these courses by British Orienteering, and they are being organised by SOLD (Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development).

Teaching Orienteering Part 1

The first course is being held at Thames Young Mariners Outdoor Education Centre, in Ham on Friday 7 June. The training delivers the knowledge, understanding and practical ability to teach the basic skills of orienteering.

Teaching Orienteering Part 2

The follow-up course is on 4 October, also at Thames Young Mariners. This course is for those who have already attended a Part 1 course and want to teach more advanced orienteering skills, such as for GCSE or A Level.
