VENUE: THE DEVIL'S PUNCHBOWL, Hindhead, Surrey. This is the first event on this area since 1989! Car Park at Beacon Hill Playing Field, G.R.: 878 370 (Sheet 186). (Alternative car park in the event of adverse weather is close by). Event signposted from the junction of the A3 with the A287 in Hindhead. For those travelling south from Farnham on the A287 the left turn to Beacon Hill approx. 2.5 km south of Churt will be signposted.

MAP: A new full-colour map, produced by Nick Nourse of The Map Works. Scale: 1:10,000. Surveyed in early 1998.

TERRAIN: Mixed woodland of variable runnability and, for longer courses, fast open heathland, all on steep-sided valleys.

COURSES: Badge Courses: M/W 10-18 A/B, M/W 20-75 L/S.

Limited colour-coded available (EOD): white, yellow, orange, red.

A free string course will also be available.


BADGE ENTRIES:-

PRE-ENTRIES: On standard BOF entry form, with two 9" x 6" SAEs to Madeleine Watson, 19 Melrose Avenue, Wimbledon Park, London SW19 8BU. Cheques payable to SLOW.

CLOSING DATE FOR PRE-ENTRIES: 23rd November 1998. Late entries will be accepted subject to availability and will be charged a surcharge of £1.00 per entry.

E.O.D. for Badge courses will be at Late Entries rate and subject to availability.

DOGS: Sorry, dogs not permitted in car park ( it's a playing field).

FACILITIES: Toilets definitely, traders, hopefully.
