The headline race of the London City Race weekend will be on a newly extended map – as well as orienteering in the heart of the ancient City, it will take in Wapping and parts of the East End and, subject to permissions and course constraints, some courses will have a section beside the Tower of London!

Event Centre

The event will be based from John Orwell Sports Centre on Tench Street in Wapping, E1W 2QD. It is about a 600m (6 minute) walk from Wapping railway station (on the London Overground) or Shadwell railway station (on the DLR and London Overground). See the tube map for connections to Wapping and Shadwell. From these stations, please follow the route shown in the final details to avoid going out-of-bounds.

However don’t be put off from running the main course if you want to rise to the challenge!

*** Under 16s can only run the Juniors or Kids courses. Under 12s can only run the Kids course. Ages are normally based on your 31 December, except the Under 16s course which is based on age on race day.
