Special Notes

Mile End is a complicated park, with many short, intricate sections. It is long and narrow, so many of the legs will cross over each other – ensure you are following the right line to the next control, on the map!

Do not cross Mile End Road (the busy road right outside the pub) during your race, except by the canal-side tunnel or over the bridge.

The Long course also includes a section in the student village campus area of Queen Mary University of London. Watch out for slow moving vehicles in this area and please give way to pedestrians. Flowerbeds and graveyards in the campus are strictly out of bounds. Please don’t jeopardise future access by running on flowerbeds or graveyards.

If a control is missing, it may have been vandalised. Check you are on the right place on the map and move on.

Entry

Entry on the day only. Your entry fee includes a full colour map printed on waterproof paper, which you can keep as a souvenir after your run, and a printout of your race time and splits at the end of the race.

Food

The New Globe does not do food, however they will allow you take your own food in. Nearby there is a Subway (opposite Mile End Station) and a Budgens supermarket 100m away (underneath the Green Bridge). Also underneath the Green Bridge is an upmarket Indian restaurant (with takeaway option), a Costa Coffee and another restaurant. Finally, there is the Half Moon, a Wetherspoons pub, serving the usual range of good-priced pub meals, 400m away to the west.
