Reigate Priory – Map Memory

Tuesday 3 July 2007

Well that was a bit wet wasn't it!  Whilst putting out controls I felt like I was in some of the worst weather I had ever encountered – driving torrential rain, lightning and thunder roaring every 30 seconds, gradually developing into a horrendous hailstorm.  Thankfully the weather did slightly improve over the evening, although it was still raining for much of the time.

Anyway, I'm glad that a few brave souls came along and tried out the courses, even if the turnout was understandably lowered by the weather.  Well done to everyone who braved the elements and got round an excellent map memory course, which made the best use of a small but interesting area.  Thanks to new SLOW member Anne Straube for organising and planning the event.

Next Tuesday’s event is being organised by CROC, at Happy Valley near Coulsdon – full details here.
