Race 2: Queen Mary (University of London)

This is the second of four races in SLOW’s July 2008 Park Orienteering Race Series.

Location: Grid ref TQ362824 – map link here. From Mile End station, turn left, head under the yellow bridge, cross the canal and turn right through the blue gates into Queen Mary (University of London). Follow signs to registration.

Public Transport: 300m from Mile End tube station (District, Hammersmith and City and Central lines.)

Parking: Street parking available on and around Bancroft Road, to the west of the campus.

Cost: £2

Start times: 6.30pm to 7.30pm

Courses: Long 4.0km, Short 2.0km.

Timing: SportIdent. SI cards will be available for hire.

Map: Brand new ISSOM sprint map of Queen Mary (University of London) Mile End Campus – the largest self-contained student campus in London, including the £100m new Westfield Student Village. The long course extends into Mile End Park's Arts Park and Terraced Gardens.

Afterwards: Food and drink 500m west at the Half Moon Wetherspoons.
