The first street
orienteering event of SLOW's 2007/08 series will be held in Battersea and
Chelsea on Tuesday 11th September. The race will start and finish at the Millennium
Arena in Battersea Park - map link here.
The format will be the usual 60-minute score event, but with a mass start at 7.00 pm (latecomers can
start individually up to 7.30 pm). The map will include Battersea Park
and the surrounding streets on both sides of the river. Please remember
to bring a pen and a watch.
Closest stations are Battersea Park and Queenstown Road (both 5 mins walk) or
Sloane Square (15 mins). Parking is available inside Battersea Park -
enter the north-east corner of the park from Queenstown Road/Chelsea
Bridge.
Changing rooms with showers and lockers are available at the Millennium Arena -
admission £1.70, lockers take £1 coins. You won't need to pay the
admission fee if you turn up ready to run.
