Street-O : Pimlico – Results

Thanks to CJ and Tim for hosting the final event of the series. The results are set out below. We have had a very successful series with a total of 200 different competitors across the eight events and regular high attendances. Well done to the series winners Nick Barrable and Anja Stratford, who both scored a maximum 200 points across the series (as well as Matthias Mahr who did likewise in finishing second place).

SLOW Street-O series 2009/10

The SLOW Street-O series will return in September 2009, and we are now looking for volunteers to host the eight events in the 2009/10 series. There are many street-O maps now in existence of areas all over London, and plenty of help and advice will be available for you to organise an event – and of course a guaranteed 50 points in the series is given to all race organisers! If you would be prepared to host a future street-O event, please contact Paul Nixon (webmaster @ sloweb.org.uk) to volunteer.

Summer evening events

As the evenings are now getting lighter, it is nearly time for the SLOW summer series of evening trail races to begin. As with last year there will be a full regular program between May and August, with something planned for many Tuesday evenings between May and August (as well as a number of races on Sundays), including a return of the popular Park Race series. Full details of the summer series will be on the SLOW website soon. In the meantime, make a note of the following dates:

· Tuesday 12 May – the first SLOW Trail Challenge race of the summer at Bushy Park – details here

· Tuesday 19 May – the first Park Series race of the summer (venue to be confirmed) – details to follow

· Monday 25 May (bank holiday) – the annual Surrey Hills Race (and Trail Challenge) – details here
