The next street orienteering event of the 2008/09 season will be held in Southfields/Wimbledon
Park/Earsfield on Tuesday 14th October.

Event: 60-minute score (no mass
start) using overprinted waterproof maps – don't forget to bring
a pen to write down your answers to the ‘clues’ as you go around, a watch,
a compass (if required), a fluorescent vest/band (recommended) and a
head-torch for use as the light fades (recommended)

Registration: 6.00 - 7.15pm
Start times: 6.15 - 7.30pm

Transport: The Pig & Whistle is a 10min
walk from Earlsfield train station, a 10-15 min walk from Wimbledon Park tube
station (district line), a 10-15min walk from Southfields tube station
(district line), and is also on the 156 bus route from both Wimbledon (10-15mins) and
Clapham Junction (15-20mins)
Parking: Free parking on most nearby
residential roads from 4.30pm onwards – check parking exclusion signs to double
check.
Changing/showers: regrettably there is no
real changing room available, so please come ready to run/participate, at
least under your over-clothes. Bags can be stored in the pub throughout
your run and the pub toilets will be available for general use before and after
running.
Safety: take care crossing all roads,
particularly the major ones.
Social: pub food will be available at
the Pig & Whistle.
