Planner’s comments

First of all two sets of thanks. First set to everyone who made it for the run, I do hope you all enjoyed it. Secondly to the numerous helpers and in particular to Eoin for manning the start in the cold.

Let me be blunt about the planning, my primary goal was for you all to get lost. The city area is so full of narrow alleyways and twisting corners that it would be a shame not to use them. And if I’m going to get disorientated while planning then I certainly hope you did as well.

Another goal was to make it interesting for everyone, from the speedy quick runners, to the mid pace joggers, to the chatting walkers. The city area was quite control dense to ensure all had to keep thinking for the whole hour. The east of the map was more spread out to stretch the legs of the runners and hopefully it kept them thinking as well.

Thirdly, I wanted to show you some of the small interesting bits of London. I learnt lots of random things while walking around, so I thought I would share some of them with you (I particularly like the goat on top of the concrete bokes!!).
