Lost property – a pair of running shoes (wet – obviously took the direct route
through the stream) and a blue T-shirt.
Please contact fixtures @ sloweb.org.uk to claim.
We hope everyone enjoyed
the event. Apologies for the misplacement of control number 5 on the 10km
course which was placed around 100m south of where it should have been (in the
position of last year’s equivalent control!).
The next Trail Challenge
race is on Tuesday 23 June at Ham Riverside and will be hosted from the Hawker
Centre in Kingston (map link here). SLOW
are also hosting a series of 5 Tuesday evening short orienteering races in
London parks between May and July – for full details see the Park Orienteering Race
Series page. The first of these is
being held next week on Tuesday 19 May at Clapham Common – details here.
Everyone who enjoyed
this race will be certain to enjoy the Surrey Hills Race on Bank Holiday Monday 25 May, which is in
a very similar format to the Trail Challenge events but held over the beautiful
wooded Surrey Hills area between Dorking and Guildford, with courses of 6, 10
or 18 miles (which can be recce’d in advance).
Entries need to be made by next Monday 18 May to get the pre-entry
discount price.
