Congratulations to all those who represented their school in the North Kingston Primary Schools Orienteering Festival, held at Tiffin Girls School on Thursday 11 June. After several inter-school competitions held 'home and away' in each primary school's grounds, the final is designed to test the skills developed during the year. The course at Tiffin Girls is therefore harder and longer than the courses in the primary schools' own grounds and the competitors rose to the challenge. Well done to St Luke's for providing the individual winning pair for the third year running: this time it was Jack J and Alexander who were 34 seconds faster than any other pair.
However it was good packing from Fern Hill with 5 pairs in the top 10 which won them the team trophy for the first time - congratulations!
Special thanks to the Tiffin Girls School Orienteering After-School Club for their invaluable help and keeping everyone in order! Thanks too to the South London team of helpers: Chris, Don, Judy, Linda, Teresa and Vicky.
Hope to see you all orienteering again soon: use your free vouchers and come along to the
Hawker Centre on 23 June or
Wimbledon Common on 12 July.
