The final SLOW street orienteering event of the 2009-10 series is being held in the Isle of Dogs & Maritime Greenwich
on Tuesday 13 April. It's a brand new area for street-O races!

Registration, start and finish

The Lord Nelson, 1 Manchester Road, E14 3BD. The pub is on the southern tip of the Isle of Dogs. We may be in the pub garden if the weather is nice.
Start times - any time between 18:30 and 20:00 - just turn up and go when you're ready. Earlier starters will have the benefit of running their race completely in daylight.
Travel - The nearest Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station is Island Gardens, about 2 minutes away on foot.
The nearest National Rail station is Greenwich, from which it is a 15-20 minute walk via Maritime Greenwich and the
Greenwich Foot Tunnel. The event is also accessible by boat - The Thames Clippers commuter service from central London goes via Masthouse Terrace Pier which is a five minute walk fro the event.
Race format - standard Street-O format - you have 60 minutes to visit as many controls as possible, in any order, and return to Finish.
Don't forget to bring a watch (essential!) and a pen to write down your answers to the "clues" as you go around.
Safety - be careful when crossing any busy roads. You may wish to wear fluorescent clothing. However, much of the race will be in daylight.
Cost - £1 to cover the waterproof map printing.
Food & drink - food is available until 9pm and the bar will be open - the pub manager has indicated he can be flexible as regards last food order times.
