We hope everyone enjoyed
the event, which saw a record turnout for a Tuesday evening Trail Challenge
race – it was great to see so many new faces, and we hope you’ll all be back
again for more.
The next Trail Challenge
race is the annual Trail
Challenge Half Marathon on Sunday 21 September, which also has 12km, 6km
and 2km courses available.
The week before that
sees the first of SLOW’s 2008/09 street orienteering races on Tuesday 16
September in Lambeth (meeting very near to Waterloo station) – see the main Street-O information page
for further information on this series of races.
After that, the next
race to look out for are SLOW’s biggest annual orienteering race, the OK Nuts
Trophy, which is being held at Glovers Wood near Gatwick Airport on Sunday 5
October – full details
here. This event includes
‘colour-coded’ courses which are suitable for novices to orienteering. If you have enjoyed the Trail Challenge
races, why not come along and have a go at a ‘proper’ orienteering race!
Also look out for
details of the City
of London orienteering race on Saturday 11 October. This promises to be a very exciting race
around the streets in the heart of the City – more details available soon!
