Orienteering is a sport run by volunteers, and we encourage all club members to get involved in helping out as often as possible when SLOW puts on events. If we don’t get people to help, the events won’t take place! Even if you have never carried out a planning/organising role before, plenty of help and assistance will be available to you from more experienced club members – please don’t be afraid to offer your services. If you would be interested to help for any of the key event roles (Planner, Organiser, SportIdent Manager or Entries Manager), please contact the club fixtures secretary Andy Robinson () in the first instance.
Helpers are also required on the day for all SLOW events – please volunteer to the event organiser before the event. Helpers will always get a chance to compete in the race before or after helping.
Please subscribe to the club mailing list (details via ) to receive notifications of upcoming events and calls for help.
