The fourth race of South London Orienteers’ five event 2016-17 Night-O Series takes place on Wimbledon Common, on Tuesday 28th February 2017. The race centre is The Telegraph, Putney, SW15 3TU.

The Night-O series is a series of public races – all are welcome, whether or not you are a SLOW member. Do please RSVP to the event via Facebook (link above) to let us know you are coming – you can also see who else is coming and post questions.

The race is based at The Telegraph “The Country Pub in London” on Telegraph Road, Putney SW15 3TU. The pub regularly hosts us, serves excellent food and drink, and provides a great place for post-race chat.

The Telegraph is ten minutes walk from several bus stops, including those on the 39 and 93 routes from Putney Station. Further details are available on the TFL website.
The entry fee is £2 for SLOW members, students and juniors; £3 for others. The race will use SportIdent electronic punching with SI cards available for free loan to those who do not have their own. A small number of headlamps are also available to borrow but please you must reserve one in advance by contacting the organizer.

Two courses are offered, both being quite challenging – you can feel real achievement from completing either of them:
- Long: approximately 5km.
- Short: approximately 2.5km.
The terrain is largely gently undulating lightly wooded heathland.
All competitors take part at their own risk. You MUST be over 16 to take part in this event, unless you are accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is a condition of our insurance.
Results will be available on the SLOW website shortly after the event.
