The seventh race of the 2014 London Park Orienteering Series takes place around the campus of Roehampton University, southwest London. Competitors will have to navigate around the campus and gardens. The race is part of the London Park Race Series 2014 which is organised by the London orienteering clubs. Like all races in the series, the race is suitable for beginners. Electronic timing will be used. Full leg cover is not necessary; running in a T-shirt, shorts and trainers will be fine.
Registration will be at The Kings Head in Roehampton which is a 500m walk to the start. Allow at least 10 minutes to get to the start.

Entry on the day only. Your entry fee includes a full colour map printed on waterproof paper, which you can keep as a souvenir after your run, and a printout of your race time and splits at the end of the race.

If you do not have your own SI card, then you can hire one for the event at no charge. A penalty of £30 will be charged for hired SI cards that are lost or not returned, and such cards will be blacklisted.
Courses
There is only one sprint-style course. The distance is 2.8km straight-line, but it is likely that you will need to run about 3.5-4km.
Event Centre
Registration and post-race refreshments will be at the The Kings Head in Roehampton.
The nearest train station is Barnes, and take bus 72 or 265 to Roehampton Lane / Danebury Avenue (15 minutes). Trains to Barnes run from Clapham Junction, London Waterloo. You can also get the District line tube to Putney Bridge, and get bus 430 to Roehampton Library (30 minutes).
