Results from the 34th Annual Box Hill Fell Race
250 runners completed the 2015 Box Hill Fell Race on a cold January Saturday. A brief snow shower threatened just before the start of the race, but the clouds parted and the race ended in glorious sunshine.
The course was changed from previous years at the request of the Box Hill conservators to protect trampling of heathland which is of special importance to orchids, and the new course was slightly longer and with more climb than previous years.
The Men’s Race was won by Andy Greenleaf of Serpentine RC in 54:08. The fastest woman was Sarah Pemberton, also from Serpentine RC and who also won in 2014, in 1:07:36. Serpentine RC again dominated the event and took first place in the club competition.
