Thanks to everyone for braving the constant rain on Tuesday night, I hope you enjoyed your runs around Battersea.
Once you’re off the main road circuit, Battersea Park offers a lot of variety, with even some contour detail among the paths in the centre of the map. I probably didn’t quite envisage such a wet and muddy evening when I tried to incorporate as many hills as possible into the course, hope everyone’s road trainers survived!
The Prince Albert pub seemed a little taken aback when I said around 100 people might be showing up. Back in December I’d booked for 60, but there was still just about enough space for people to warm up, and hopefully everyone who ordered food got it in good time.
Thanks to Steve and Gordon for all the work you do to make these events happen, to Pete for doing meet-and-greet and organising maps for the on-the-evening arrivals, to James and Clement for control collection in some unappetising conditions, and to Lucy for doing a mighty stint on the start.
