FINAL DETAILS
INVITATION
On Sunday 7th April 2019 we return to Kingston upon Thames for the second Kingston Urban Race. This is the second race of the Southern England Orienteering Urban League (SEOUL) series.
Link to Routegadget for first Kingston urban race.
Kingston is an ancient market town on the banks of the River Thames, steeped in history and culture. In the tenth century Saxon Kings were crowned on Kingston’s Coronation Stone. Surrey County Hall, built at the end of the 19th century, is one of many notable buildings, although since boundary changes in 1965 Kingston has no longer been in Surrey.
The race will be in the historic urban town centre, with lots of alleyways, and nearby riverside parks and residential areas.
The map is 1:5000 (except for course 5), updated 2018. Both SIAC (contactless) and regular SI (“dibber”) cards will be used for the race. All controls and the finish are enabled to operate in contactless mode. The start will be a punching start.
