Race 1 of the 2013 London Park Orienteering Series takes place in Wandle Park. This is a new area to orienteering: a typical park with some tarmac running and lots of route choice options. Full leg cover is not necessary; running in a T-shirt, shorts and trainers will be fine.
Please note that the course will cross some minor roads. For insurance reasons, those under 16 years old will have to run with an accompanying adult.
The race is part of the London Park Race Series 2013 which is organised by the London orienteering clubs. Like all races in the series, the race is suitable for beginners. Electronic timing will be used.
Registration and changing will be at The Charles Holden (formerly the Collier’s Tup) pub, on the south side of the park opposite Collier’s Wood underground station.

Entry
Entry on the day only. Your entry fee includes a full colour map printed on waterproof paper, which you can keep as a souvenir after your run, and a printout of your race time and splits at the end of the race.

If you do not have your own SI card, then you can hire one for the event at no charge. A penalty of £30 will be charged for hired SI cards that are lost or not returned, and such cards will be blacklisted.
