British Sprint Weekend 2026
The weekend 27-28 June was the British Sprint Relay and British Sprint Championships, organised by Bristol Orienteering Klub.
Relays
The British Sprint Relay Championships were held at the University of Bristol North Campus. SLOW fielded 6 teams: 2 Elite, 1 Veteran, 2 Ultra Veteran (one non-competitive), 1 Ad Hoc. Fortunately everyone successfully made it despite public transport problems doing its best to throw a spanner in the works!
Our Ultra Vet team won a superb silver, continuing the streak of winning a medal in this class since 2019.
Our Elite classes were 10th and 26th, Vet 8th and Ad Hoc 24th.
Individual
There was further success in the individual sprints the following day at the University of the West of England. There were golds for SJ (W40) and Abi (W45), silver for Di (W70) and bronze for Osian. Congratulations to all our medallists.
