Cannizaro Park Race, Tuesday 5 July
The sixth race of the London 2022 Park Race series takes place in Cannizaro Park on Tuesday 5th July 2022. This is a small but very complex park with many navigational challenges and is great for orienteering.
Race Centre
The race HQ is The Crooked Billet. The Crooked Billet is close to Wimbledon village. There is parking available on nearby roads, but expect it to be busy as it is the Wimbledon tennis fortnight. Public transport is recommended. The pub is a 15 minute walk from Wimbledon Station (SW Mainline and Underground) or Raynes Park. Bus route 200 runs from Wimbledon station and Raynes Park, closest stop is “Edge Hill” on Ridgway. Route 93 runs between Wimbledon and Putney Bridge, stop “Marryat Road” or “Wimbledon War Memorial”. See TFL website for details.
Kit can be left at the pub while you run (at you own risk).
We will be using SiEntries entry system and so if you have your own SI/SIAC, you do not need to come the pub beforehand if you choose – you can go directly to the Start. However you must come back to the pub to download.

Race Details & Entry
Registration and entry is online only. Entry via SiEntries. All entries, including on the day, will be online. Entries will stay open until 19:25 on the day of the event subject to map availability.
The entry fee is £3 for juniors and students; £5 for senior British Orienteering members*; £7 for others. Your entry fee includes a full colour map printed on waterproof paper, which you can keep as a souvenir after your run, and a printout of your race time and splits at the end of the race.
*If you are not yet a member, do consider joining or renewing for 2022! Please see our ‘Join Us‘ page for more details.
The races use both SIAC contactless and SI electronic punching. SIAC cards are available to hire for those who do not have their own for £2 (free for juniors). Hire cards to be collected at the pub.
You are welcome to participate in pairs or groups. Each entry uses one electronic chip and provides one map, so make as many entries as the number of maps the group will want. We do recommend having your own map as map-reading and navigating is part of the fun! If making a single entry for a group, please put “+1” or “+Runner B name” etc at the end of the surname field in the online entry system so that the club can monitor participation numbers.
