Park Race – Streatham Common

We’re now into the latter parts of the 2026 Park Race series and on to the eighth race. This time will be in Streatham, south west London, on Tuesday 7th July.

Race Centre

The race will be based at the Bull. The pub serves food and drink, and there will be the usual opportunity to revisit route choices with other runners. Kit can be left while you run (at you own risk).
Note that due to online entry (see below), you do not need to come to the Tankard before your run if you choose – you can go directly to the start. However you must come back to the pub to download.

Getting there

The closest stations are Streatham Common or Streatham, both 0.5 miles away. The pub is also served by several bus routes, including the 50, 109, 250, 255 and G1. For further information see TFL website.

Race Details and Entry

The entry fee is £6 for British Orienteering members*, students and juniors; £8 for others. The races use both SIAC contactless and SI electronic punching; SIAC cards are available to hire for those who do not have their own for £2.

Enter at SiEntries

All entries, including on the day, will be online. Entries will stay open until 19:25 on the day of the event subject to map availability. Please make sure you have arrived at the start by 19:30.


The start and finish are 660 and 520 metres from the Bull respectively, across the road and east, into the common. If you have your own SI card you may go directly to the start. You can leave items at the start at your own risk and items must be collected before the last start time of 19:30.

Start Times: 18:15 – 19:30

Courses close 20:30 – you must return to the pub by this time, even if you have not completed the course.

These courses are offered:

  • Long: approximately 5km (shortest permissible)
  • Short: approximately 2.9km (shortest permissible)

There is one road that both courses cross twice, but it is only usable by bicycles at the expected crossing point.

You must come back to the race centre (the Bull) to download.

Additional Information

All competitors take part at their own risk. Participants who are not members of British Orienteering are not covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. By entering this event, I acknowledge that I am taking part at my own risk. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered.

Shorts are permitted.
