Club Champs

Peter Huzan organised our club championships. He comments:
“The 2022 club champs were held at Horsell Common on Saturday 10th December. It is famous for the setting of a Martian landing in the book The War of Worlds by HG Wells. Thanks to Southern Navigators for hosting us and putting on separate open and women’s courses for us.
The SLOW Men course was 5.3k with Tom Davies finishing just 7 seconds ahead of Matthias Mahr. Zlatko Peev was 3rd and Timofey Zorin was top junior. There was some tight packing behind this.
The SLOW Women course was 4.4k. Heather Findlay won ahead of Dorte Torpe Hansen and Vinh-Phuong Hoang.
At the varied picnic prize giving there were trophies for the winners and various spot prizes, including fastest run-in and slowest leg!
The forest was very runnable and the frosty crisp day was quite seasonal and a little cold when not running.
