Small Area Format (SAF)

Events will usually include a choice of 2 courses, 3 or 2 hours. Both options will use the same map and checkpoints. The 3 hour one may sometimes be run as a Small Area Format (SAF) course.

For SAF, the checkpoints will be labelled red and blue, you choose which colour to start on and collect as many of that colour as you wish until you swap to the other colour. Once you’ve swapped you can’t revert back to the original colour. Points will be evenly split between the colours. For the 2 hour course the colour has no significance and you can visit the checkpoints in any order.

This example Mogador event  map shows our final event of 2018 redrawn as a SAF event.

Series Prizes

Series prizes will be presented to the first place in the following categories:

Male Veteran (50+), Male Senior (18-49), Female Veteran (50+), Female Senior (18-49), Youth/Junior.

Series rankings are based on your top 3 scores from this years events. To qualify for prizes or rankings, participants must have attended at least 2 events.
