SE Night Champs 2022

SLOW are proud to host the SE Night Championships of 2022 on Saturday 19th November. This will also act as the first race in the SLOW 2022-2023 Night series.

Race Centre

Event HQ will be the Thames Hare & Hounds Clubhouse at Richard Events Memorial Playing Fields. SIAC collection and download will be inside the clubhouse, which is the SW end of the main building. Kit can be left inside and changing rooms are available. Toilets are on the ground floor.

Note that due to online entry, you do not need to come the the clubhouse before your run if you choose – you can go directly to the start. However you must come back to the the clubhouse to download.

Whistles are mandatory – they can be borrowed (collect from the clubhouse).

A small number of headlamps are also available to borrow for free – please email the organiser.

For those wishing to linger after your run, you can bring your own food and drink to the clubhouse – very limited options are available locally (McDonald’s and ASDA).

Getting There

Cycle racks are available immediately outside the entrance of the clubhouse. Note that due to the deer cull in neighbouring Richmond park, you will not be able to cycle through the park after 8pm.

Bus routes 85, 265, K3 pass by the clubhouse, Closest stops “Roehampton Vale Campus” – Westbound, or “Roehampton Vale Asda” – Eastbound. See tfl website for further details.

Parking is available at the playing fields, the entrance is only accessible travelling Westbound, please share vehicles where possible. In the unlikely event that parking is full, free on-street parking can be found to the SW (Vale Crescent / Robin Hood Way) or NE (Friars Avenue / Stroud Crescent).

The start is approximately 100m from the clubhouse.

These courses are open to non SEOA members also.

To be eligible for the championship, SEOA members must enter the applicable course for their age as below. However, you may choose to enter a different course, but will not be able to win a prize.

For the SLOW night series. For men course 1 is Long, for Women it is course 2. Course 3 will be Short.

Start Times – 17:30-18:30

Courses close 20:30 – you must return to the clubhouse by this time.
